Join Women Grow Tri-State, Ethos Cannabis and Archer Law, as we discuss Women and Cannabis, the Patient and the Caregiver
Being a medical cannabis patient is difficult enough…finding the right practitioner, navigating your care and access. At times, in addition to caring for themselves, women are also the caregiver for someone in their family. There are several societal and cultural demands on women to adopt the role of a family-caregiver. Whether a spouse, a child or a parent, in fact, the majority of caregivers are female (65%), and more than 80% are caring for a relative or friend who is age 50 or older. A medical marijuana (MMJ), caregiver, provides healthcare assistance to a qualified MMJ patient by helping them obtain and administer marijuana treatments. Becoming a caregiver is particularly important for those administering care to patients who can not manage their treatment, such as parents whose children need marijuana for medicinal purposes, or for those providing care for seriously ill patients.
Join our conversation with Physicians, Dispensary Staff, Community Leaders and Activists to discuss the medical cannabis program, how to become a patient and/or caregiver within the program and the current legislative landscape. Have questions? Bring them! Attendees will have the opportunity to get their questions answered.
